It's a shame that you don't get points for good driving in real life. Well, if you can't get paid for avoiding collisions and horrible drivers in the offline world, you might as well do it in the online world. Parking Mania lets you take to the highways, byways and narrow city streets to rack up a list of bonuses for safe, crash-free driving. It's like a virtual Driver's Ed course, only fun.

Parking Mania is a strategy game where players drive through various environments trying not to rack up a list of offenses a mile long. This sounds like it would be simple, but players might be in for a bit of a surprise when they see some of the courses the game has. The game has a mind-blowing 220 levels that can vary from a simple cruise through the countryside to snowy roads filled with car wrecks. Navigating becomes more difficult as the levels get higher, so anyone who makes it to the 220th level should definitely be given a medal.

The player is given different types of vehicles for levels; there are 80 different types ranging from the classic sedan to sports cars to full 18-wheeler big rigs. The semi-truck is by far the most difficult to maneuver because of its trailer, making turns almost impossible in some situations, but it's not just your own vehicle you have to worry about. Hitting cars, buildings and other obstacles lowers your score, while avoiding said obstacles means bonus points. Your score is entirely dependent on how good of a virtual driver you are.

There are three different control options: tilt, slider and steering wheel. The tilt feature is typically used for the iPhone and Android apps. The player simply tilts the phone right or left to turn. The slider option may be more accurate for some, as it only requires a finger dragged left or right to direct the vehicle. A virtual steering wheel is best when used on a touchscreen, but you can certainly steer using a computer mouse to drag the wheel in the direction you want to go. Players can switch between steering options to find the easiest one for them.

Players find Parking Mania just about as addicting as Angry Birds, but the frustration levels are definitely lower. Parking Mania is available in mobile apps for the iOS, Android, and Windows Phone 7, as well as for Windows 8 for the PC.
